About

The IEEE International System-on-Chip Conference has a more than 36 years tradition of providing a forum for researchers and engineers in the area of ASIC and SoC development. Founded by the IEEE section of Rochester, NY in 1987 as a local ASIC seminar, the conference soon attracted a lot of international participants and grew in size and reputation. When ASIC complexity grew into SoCs, the ASIC conference was among the first ones extending its scope to become the IEEE SOC Conference (SOCC). On its 20th anniversary in 2007, IEEE SOCC took place outside the USA for the first time. Since then, the conference has been held at multiple locations in Asia, Europe, and the US.
